Our Kind of Plummet

The long tour that we chose for our Governor’s Rapids adventure led us to the far end of the navigable part of the river. The boat ride was indeed long but it was not an insipid one. While on the boat, we enjoyed the beauty of the riverscape.

We then reached a part of the river where there was a small waterfall. The boatman then stopped the boat and told us that beyond that part of the river, we would already be in the province of Isabela.

The boatman then turned the boat around and we went upstream to get to our first stop in our river adventure tour.

Our target was a rock formation that is at least 30 meters high but may be climbed safely with no gears. From there, we are going to do cliff jumping!

Ran was the one who jumped first. Very much like with the Plunge in Bohol, nagpauna s’ya, kasi baka raw hindi ko na s’ya makuhanan ng magandang litrato kapag nahapo na ‘ko sa pagtalon. So thoughtful.

After Ran’s jump, we switched places. It’s my turn!

I hurt myself a bit as I was not postured erect enough when I hit the water. Still, it was an adrenaline-pumping experience! My adrenaline seemed to have pumped so hard I felt drained. I drove with no sleep, remember?

From the cliff where we jumped, we proceeded to our next stop. It was another jump but not from as high as the cliff, and that we are going to swing from a tire tied to a rope to gain swing momentum then let go to fall into the river.

As usual, Ran went first. Ang energetic pa n’ya.

I was already tired but I still have to do this, so there. Friends, your swinging zombie.

I did enjoy the cliff jumping and swinging activities despite being visibly tired already. Every moment that I could steal though, I take advantage of in order for me to get some rest.

Besides, who would not find this place relaxing? Dahil sa puyat at pagod, tila ako ipinaghehele ni Inang Kalikasan. Pero ayun na nga. Hindi pa kami tapos. Quirino was really giving us the best time of our lives.
