Just a little around 10 minutes from Sabangaran Falls and we have reached the second falls. Nantugaw Falls features a wide cascade where water slides through. A big boulder is seated on the top of the falls, hence its name, from the Ilokano term for seat, tugaw. The boulder is the one that visitors first see when going to the falls.

The boulder seated at the upper right hand corner of the photo.

Nantugaw Falls is also known for its another name, Nantugaw Rock Formation. The rocks at the bottom of the falls provide a nice spot to sit and take photos. Yes, another tugaw spot.

Nice spots naturally call for photo opportunities.

Taking a dip is not among our plans, and thankfully there was no Karugo Falls repeat despite the visual feature similarity between Nantugaw and the falls in Rodriguez, Rizal. The hike, though already relatively easy, was made far easier by the weather. No rain means no mud, so the hike was really straight-forward. We just took photos and moved to the next destination.
