A Tale of Ten Thousand Roses

There is indeed truth in the adage that some good things never last. The beauty of Bohol is just way too much that three days doesn’t seem enough. Leaving is inevitable though, and we had to move to our next destination: the Queen City of the South.

The sun has already set when we onboarded our ferry to Cebu. Taking the ferry is another first for Ran. It was my third, I guess.

It took more or less 2 hours before we reached the port in Cebu. There, we were met by the driver of the car rental service that we engaged. He handed us the car and off we went.

Our original plan was merely to drop by 10000 Roses Café and have dinner somewhere else, such that we are able to explore the city at night. The traffic, however, was so bad, we had to let go of such plan. We forgot the hassle we underwent anyway, as when we reached our destination, we were captivated by the nice ambience of the place.

After taking some photos, we ordered our dinner.

We further stayed a good deal of time after we’re taken our dinner, just appreciating the ambience and the live band music. After a while, we decided to take some more photos and headed off to our accommodation. The need to get some sleep has never been so true, but work has yet to be done: we were already in Cebu but we haven’t decided yet as to where we would go. Too much for engaging renegade junctures, and it’s thrilling!

Our accommodation was in Saekyung 956 Condominium in Lapu-Lapu City, and that would be the shortest accommodation that we would ever experience.

We arrived in the condo just shortly before midnight, and we had to leave by 04:00 in the morning as the first destination we have chosen in Cebu would be some 66 kilometers away. Like our La Union night, where we would go the following morning was decided right before we slept, and we settled that we would drive our way to three destinations and end our Cebu experience just right before our flight back to Manila.

It was such a short night for a long day ahead of us.
